Tiffany Howard is a behavioral health expert, licensed professional counselor, and board-certified telemental health provider. She brings over a decade of experience in promoting mental health in diverse settings. Her expertise includes trauma-informed approaches, suicide prevention, community-led suicide prevention, school-based mental health, telehealth implementation and management, mental health resilience, self-care, and project management.

Howard is a trauma-informed training specialist for EDC’s Trauma Recovery, Mental Health Promotion, and Violence Prevention team. She provides consultation and coaching on trauma-informed approaches, suicide prevention, and resilience. As the project manager for a number of behavioral health initiatives, including the South Carolina Communities of Care Statewide Initiative, she delivers trauma-informed and suicide prevention-focused training to diverse community groups.

Prior to joining EDC, Howard was a mental health counselor and coordinator of Web-based services for a large university. She developed trainings, policies, and procedures that enabled the university’s counseling centers to shift to providing teletherapy services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Howard holds an EdS in Counselor Education from the University of South Carolina and a BA in Psychology from Winthrop University.
