Teresa Gomez Barroso (she, her, hers) is an experienced health educator, program manager, and trainer. She specializes in leading and coordinating health promotion initiatives that advance health equity for diverse populations. She is committed to advancing community health by using health education as a transformative tool to help people who face health disparities manage their health.

Gomez Barroso serves as a training and technical associate for EDC’s Strategic Prevention Technical Assistance Center. Prior to joining EDC, she managed global health efforts for public and private European organizations for over 10 years. She also collaborated as a trainer in different health projects with several South American countries. Her areas of focus have included substance misuse prevention, behavioral health, social interventions for young people, and meeting the needs of underserved women.

Gomez Barroso holds an MS in Health and Safety from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and an MA in Women’s Health, Psychology, & Healthcare from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She received a BS in Physical Therapy from Universidad CEU San Pablo. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
