Tanya Gonzalez, EDC training and technical assistance (TTA) associate, is an expert in out-of-school time (OST), early childhood education, and program improvement. A highly skilled trainer and coach, she brings extensive experience in program development and implementation, professional development, curriculum development, licensing compliance, grant management, and program quality assessment.

Gonzalez provides high-quality TTA to advance the goals of EDC’s Center for Early Learning Professionals in Rhode Island. Her primary focus is on supporting OST programs and developing engaging and effective professional learning experiences for OST providers from across Rhode Island.

Before joining EDC, Gonzalez was the director of education for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center. Previously, as the senior director of school-age childcare for the YMCA in New Hampshire, she oversaw 16 school-age programs across the state. She also served as a member of the leadership team for the New Hampshire Afterschool Network, advancing key policy and advocacy efforts.

Gonzalez holds an AS in Early Childhood Education from Granite State College, where she is completing a BS in Human Services-Early Childhood Business Administration.
