Seni Diop joined EDC in 2016 as the chief of party of the Mastercard Foundation-funded APTE-Senegal project. Diop has over 25 years of experience in education, governance, decentralization, community participation and gender, development and girls’ education and equity, development and youth education, conflict management, and peace building. He is extremely knowledgeable about the barriers to children’s education in Guinea and other parts of West Africa, factors leading to exploitive labor and the worst forms of child labor, and strategies for prevention and reintegration.
Diop’s skills also include project management, planning, training, institutional development, and evaluation, and he has substantial management experience in community participation and good governance programs. He has extensive experience in curriculum design, adaptation, and testing; training of trainers; and implementing activities in the field in the areas noted above. Diop is also a specialist in adult education and youth training.
