Kit Yasin is an instructional designer with over two decades of experience designing and directing projects that often include the innovative use of technology. Her work focuses on how to engage learners through lively, effective, and engaging instruction grounded in a carefully planned design.

Yasin served as the director of EDC’s regional centers for Latin America and the Horn of Africa and provided direction and instructional design leadership on EDC initiatives throughout Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. She is a leading expert on the use of interactive audio instruction (IAI) and has designed for major education initiatives, ranging from early childhood through teacher professional development in multiple subject areas. Yasin directs English for Latin America (ELA), an IAI program providing English language instruction and work readiness skills to youth throughout Latin America.

Yasin holds a BS in Speech (Theatre) from Northwestern University and an MEd and EdD in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Pittsburgh. She speaks Spanish and French, intermediate Portuguese, and basic Somali and Haitian Creole.
