Diana Wogan is an expert in social and emotional learning (SEL), the whole child approach, and policy analysis. An experienced researcher and technical assistance specialist, she contributes to a wide range of EDC initiatives and has co-authored publications on cultural competency and stakeholder engagement.

Wogan co-leads the Social and Emotional Learning Research Alliance for REL Northeast & Islands at EDC, is a member of EDC’s SEL & Mental Health Academy team, and serves on the Knowledge Alliance’s Board of Directors. In all her work, she seeks to ensure that education policy draws on practitioners’ lessons and research to improve student achievement and well-being.

Recently, Wogan led a community of Investing in Innovation (i3) grantees focused on SEL and funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Prior to joining EDC, she worked for the Boston Public Schools and was the research director for the Joint Committee on Education in the Massachusetts state legislature.

Wogan received a BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan and an MA in Political Science from Northeastern University.
