Andrea Bosch is an international development expert with more than 25 years of experience improving quality, access, and equity within education systems. She currently serves as EDC’s chief of party for the Teacher Excellence Initiative (TEI) in Egypt, a USAID-funded higher education program designed to improve the quality and relevance of teacher preparation in Egyptian public universities.

Previously, Bosch led education projects in India, Egypt, Bolivia, Nepal, and Indonesia, incorporating technology tools to improve access and increase educational outcomes. She served as vice president for education at the International Youth Foundation and for Asia and environment at Internews.

Bosch is a consummate supporter of innovation and continues to serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for young talent for the UNLEASH global incubator, which uses design thinking to bring social enterprise solutions from early stages to launch.

Bosch holds a PhD in Symbolic Systems of Education from Stanford University, an EdM from Harvard Graduate School of Education in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy, and a BA in Anthropology and Psychology from Duke. She speaks English and Spanish.
