Rebecca Carey is an EDC vice president, the associate director of the U.S. Division, and a skilled project director who manages complex federal R&D centers and large-scale technical assistance initiatives. She has expertise in educational innovation and improvement, collaborative research, nonprofit operations, knowledge management, and organization development.
Rebecca works closely with the director of the U.S. Division on strategic planning, fostering innovation, and systems change. In addition, for the REL Northeast & Islands at EDC, Rebecca builds and sustains collaborative relationships between educators and researchers to improve educational outcomes for all students. To this work, she applies her experience in research design, technical assistance, and knowledge use to answer educators’ questions and advance their goals to enhance students’ learning.
Drawing on her research and quality improvement expertise, Rebecca has co-authored a series of publications focused on strategies to enhance education through evidence-based practices, research-practitioner partnerships, and online learning. Recently, she co-authored the white paper Scaling-Up Evidence-Based Practices: Strategies from Investing in Innovation (i3).
Rebecca received a BA from Vassar College and an EdM from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
