EDC developed a comprehensive set of national materials to educate primary and secondary school students in Botswana about HIV and AIDS and STIs, and to teach them skills to make healthy choices.
A collaborative effort with the Botswana Ministry of Education and CDC-Botswana, the curricula and related materials are culturally appropriate, interactive, and focused on changing behavior. EDC is assisting the Botswana government in the following:
- Coordinate curriculum implementation
- Develop a national training plan
- Train master trainers
- Create an evaluation plan
