Video Case Studies to Support the Inclusion of Students with Disabilities in Standards-based Mathematics Classrooms

Video Cases

We are developing 10 multimedia case studies, divided into 5 modules, to help better prepare preservice and in-service elementary school teachers to include students with disabilities in standards-based mathematics classrooms. In this section, we describe cases completed or in the final stages of development.

This case follows two boys, one who is autistic and another who has an emotional disability, and one girl who is an English Language Learner with expressive language difficulties.

In this case, we focus on two boys, one with language delay and one with attention deficit disorder, and one girl who struggles with mathematics concepts and skills.

This case focuses on the experience of two boys, one who is academically strong and particularly facile with math and another who is easily distracted and has difficulties expressing his ideas through language.
