Mentor-Student Connections: Designs for Effective Communication

To make effective communication possible, a number of communication formats have been developed.

One-on-One Mentoring at the heart of the project, is where a student and a Telementor develop an on-line relationship with one another.
Discussion Forums provide young women with broader perspectives on the difficulties encountered and the strategies used by women in technical work environments.
Peer Mentoring in the Lounges allows participants who are similarly situated to support and converse with one another. Through electronic mailing lists that serve as lounges, mentors, students, and teachers, each group with its own private list, raise issues and concerns, and exchange strategies.
