The on-line exhibition "The Empire That Was Russia: The Prokudin-Gorskii
Photographic Record Recreated" is now available at:
http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/empire/
This amazing exhibit features exquisite color images of Russia before
World War I and the revolution. These images were created with a
photographic technique invented by Mr. Prokudin-Gorskii. The physical
exhibit will be open until August 11 in the Jefferson Building. The on-line
exhibit will be up permanently.
