Take a look at this Canadian site that explains web searching to kids and
adults. It's hosted by a search engine site.

I followed the story of the moth who wanted to know his origins. He knew
it had something to do with "caterpillar" so he searched the web and
decided he once was a tractor! Sybil, the search instructor then explains
that search engines look for words without understanding context or meaning
and offers guidance for when this happens.

Other stories explain things like bookmarking, the history file, etc.

You never know when one more approach will make those light bulbs go on!
