Hi Lydia, Mel, Marilyn and all our AMFriends,
I must admit that I've been one of those who has been lax about
corresponding. Perhaps because Cynthia and I have been working to create
this unit at breakneck speed...and deliver it completely by the first
semester.

We do want to tell you that America 1900 airs tonight and we couldn't have
*wished* for a better synchronicity with our project. See their web site at
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/amex/1900/index.html

We've asked the kids to create a newspaper or magazine from their month of
birth and this resource will be of tremendous help in giving them the
background and suggestions.
