Tony Streit is a nationally known leader in youth development, media literacy, out-of-school time, and informal STEM learning. An experienced manager, he oversees innovative technical assistance, professional development, instructional design, technology integration, and media education initiatives.

Streit leads the National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment (NCASE), a resource and training hub that builds capacity to ensure all children can access high-quality out-of-school time learning experiences that promote their development and academic achievement. For a decade, he led an EDC team in providing technical support and instructional design services to Adobe Systems’ Adobe Youth Voices initiative.

Streit is dedicated to helping educators harness 21st-century tools to provide hands-on, student-centered learning that engages, motivates, and inspires young people. He is the board president of the National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE). Prior to EDC, he was the co-founder and co-director of Street-Level Youth Media, a celebrated Chicago organization recognized for its innovative approach to youth development and digital learning. 

Streit holds a dual BA in Economics and Communications from the University of Notre Dame.
