Spencer Turney, media relations manager for EDC’s Office of Communications, serves as an intermediary between the news media and EDC’s experts, advisors, and project teams around the globe.
An award-winning media relations professional, Turney most recently worked for Vanderbilt University, where he secured press coverage for research and innovations from industry-leading researchers and labs across 10 schools and colleges. Prior to academia, he worked for five years as a public relations strategist and an account executive at the public relations firms of Revive, The Bradford Group, and L.C. Williams & Associates, representing both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) clients.
Turney holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Memphis and is currently pursuing an MA in Medicine, Health, and Society from Vanderbilt University.
