Miriam Gates specializes in mathematics and teacher education. An experienced researcher with expertise in qualitative and mixed methods, she is also a skilled professional learning facilitator.
Gates is dedicated to equitable outcomes for all mathematics students. She has supported projects in assessment development, online teacher learning, curriculum implementation, and design of equitable classrooms, working with educators, school leaders, and policymakers in service of this goal.
A regular presenter at conferences for national research and mathematics education associations, Gates co-authored chapters in Acknowledging Our Role in the Education Debt and “Mathequity Hours: Fostering Wholeness in a Mathematics Learning Community,” as well as other articles and chapters.
Gates holds a PhD in Mathematics Education from Boston College and an EdM in Educational Psychology from Temple University.
