Marcia Bueno is a researcher focusing on how media and digital resources support education, intergenerational learning, and informal STEM learning. Her primary interests involve intergenerational learning, family engagement, informal STEM learning, STEM career pathways, and cultural relevance in STEM. She is passionate about elevating community voices and experience through equitable program design and brings many years of experience with community-based STEM learning.

Currently, Bueno is advancing the goals of several STEM- and media-focused EDC projects including Ready To Learn, Integrating Science with Mathematics and Engineering, and Cyberchase Mobile Adventures in STEM. Prior to joining EDC, she directed the community engagement initiative NYSCI Neighbors at the New York Hall of Science.

Bueno holds a BS in Computer Science from New York University-Tandon School of Engineering.
