Louisa Anastasopoulos, senior researcher/evaluator and expert trainer, coauthored EDC’s acclaimed Early Language and Literacy Classroom Observation (ELLCO) Pre-K Tool. She also co-designed and is lead instructor for the ELLCO Pre-K Training of Trainers Institute, which she has delivered nationwide. Currently, her research interests include early childhood education, language and literacy, and student-centered learning.
Anastasopoulos has extensive expertise in quantitative and qualitative research, including study management, survey design and administration, focus groups, observation, document reviews, and data analysis. She leads the evaluation of the Worcester-based Arriving Ready pilot project, an initiative to improve equity, learning, and teaching by supporting schools and community organizations in providing coordinated support to children and families.
She also leads family outreach and knowledge management efforts for the Young Mathematicians in Worcester project.Recently, she contributed to the evaluation of a Nellie Mae Education Foundation initiative.
Anastasopoulos holds an MPP with a focus on education from Georgetown University and a BA in Government and Spanish from Colby College. She received her PMD Pro Certification as a project manager from APMG International.
