Lauri Solomon has more than 20 years of experience providing training and technical assistance (TTA) to prevention programs and managing behavioral health and other public health programs. She partners with organizations to strengthen prevention practice through community needs assessment, strategic planning, implementation support, and program evaluation.

Lauri specializes in translating research, evaluation findings, and data into practical tools and resources that help organizations implement evidence-informed strategies. Her prevention experience spans behavioral health topics, including suicide, substance misuse, problem gambling, adverse childhood experiences, and teen pregnancy.

At EDC, Lauri is a TTA provider with the Massachusetts Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling Prevention. She also leads communications and product development for the Strategic Prevention Framework Prescription Drug Safety project, which supports the prevention of prescription medication misuse for people of lower income who are over the age of 55.

Before joining EDC, Lauri managed the state of Washington’s fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and teen pregnancy prevention programs and administered contracts for residential and outpatient substance use disorder treatment facilities.

Lauri holds an EdD and an MEd from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She received a BA in Public Health and Psychology from The Evergreen State College.
