Catherine Darrow is a senior research scientist, evaluator, and expert in education policy research. She has a deep understanding of the educational landscape and is committed to improving the educational experiences of children and youth. Her research interests include implementation fidelity measurement and analysis and program modeling and adoption.
Darrow is the training, coaching, and technical support lead for REL Northeast & Islands at EDC. She also serves as the implementation evaluation lead on an Institute of Education Sciences (IES)-funded evaluation of academic language interventions.
Previously, Darrow was a senior associate at Abt Associates, where she led an evaluation of AARP Foundation’s Experience Corps Program. She has consulted on issues around program modeling and adoption and implementation fidelity measurement and analysis for the U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Labor, Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and Citizen Schools. Earlier in her career, she was a K–12 teacher.
Darrow holds a PhD in Teaching and Learning from Vanderbilt University. She completed an IES Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Early Childhood Education Sciences.
