September is Suicide Prevention Month: How to Get Involved

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. In observance of this, as well as National Suicide Prevention Week (September 5–11) and World Suicide Prevention Day (September 10), EDC offers the following actions, resources, and events to promote suicide prevention worldwide.
“Knowledge alone is not enough,” says Elly Stout, senior project director at the Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC). “Raise awareness, but then tell people what they can do to help prevent suicide.”
