This document outlines the vision, mission, and three-year plan of the Massachusetts Computing Attainment Network (MassCAN), which is based at EDC. MassCAN focuses on expanding opportunities for all Massachusetts K–12 students to learn computer science. It promotes opportunities—especially for girls and underrepresented minorities—to pursue computer science careers; informs educators, administrators, parents, and students about employment opportunities; and collaborates with partners across Massachusetts.
