Throughout a 25-year career in the field, Jill Weber has developed extensive expertise in several high-priority areas, including educational technology, online learning, policy development and analysis, curriculum development, and assessment and accountability. She leads large-scale, multi-state federal contracts that contribute significantly to education research and the field of teaching and learning, and her work supports education policymakers and practitioners who want to improve achievement and reduce performance gaps through the implementation of evidence-based policies.
As director of EDC’s Research, Evaluation, and Policy unit, she helps stakeholders improve educational outcomes through needs analysis, research studies, dissemination of findings, and the measurement of program impact and effectiveness. She also directs the Regional Educational Laboratory Northeast and Islands at EDC, which provides educators and policymakers with access to high-quality, scientifically valid education research through applied research and development projects, dissemination of research findings, and related technical assistance activities.
A former teacher and technology coordinator, Weber holds an MA in educational technology from Harvard University and an MBA from the University of Dayton, Ohio.
