From school raffles to legalized sports betting, gambling is part of the modern American culture. But while some people enjoy the temporary thrill that these activities provide, others can become addicted to the rush—creating a dependence that can affect their health, wellness, and relationships.

EDC’s Rebecca Bishop leads the Gambling Prevention Technical Assistance Center that works to prevent problem gambling in Massachusetts. In this video, she discusses what problem gambling looks like and how EDC is helping communities address this important health and public safety issue.
