Steve Anzalone is a vice president, director of the Asia Regional Center, and joint leader of the Information and Communication Technology Team in EDC’s International Development Division. He has 30 years of experience in assisting educational development in Asia, Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East.
Anzalone is a specialist in applications of educational technology, distance education, and multichannel learning for programs. He participated in the first formal evaluations of the effects of computer technology on learning in primary schools in developing countries. His portfolio includes varied projects in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America in the areas of strategic and program planning, applied research and evaluation, and project management.
Anzalone has been widely published in scholarly and peer-review journals and has written several papers with the World Bank. He received his doctorate in education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a concentration in non-formal education and adult literacy.
