Larry C. Lai, senior vice president, directs EDC’s International Development Division and is a member of EDC’s policymaking management council. Over the past 30 years, Lai has worked for both nonprofit and for-profit institutions, addressing development issues relating to education and the environment.
Prior to joining EDC, Lai served as a senior vice president at Creative Associates International, where he led the Office of Development and Administration, and previous to that position, as the vice president and director of Creative’s Education, Mobilization, and Communication Division. Additionally, Lai has held leadership positions with the Institute of International Education and with Science Applications International Corporation. He is a past vice president for Chapter Affairs at the Society for International Development’s Washington D.C., chapter.
Lai holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master of science in environmental engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
