Deborah Haber is a vice president and the director of the Center for School and Community Health Programs at EDC. As a former teacher with 18 years in the classroom, teaching both biology and health, Haber draws on her experience to help school districts around the country develop robust and effective health programs and policies.
With extensive experience managing national training and technical assistance centers, Haber is in charge of the National Center for Mental Health Promotion and Youth Violence Prevention. She designs training programs for practitioners and provides technical assistance to local school communities, state agencies, and national organizations. She also develops seminars and creative materials on health issues, mental health, and violence prevention for youth.
Haber holds a master of education in health from Boston University and a bachelor of arts from the University of Rhode Island.
