Youth Media Learning Network

The Youth Media Learning Network (YMLN) is a new capacity building and professional development initiative intended to strengthen the practice and expand the reach of youth media. Drawing upon the success of youth media field building efforts, and informed by established professional development strategies in other fields, the work of the YMLN will include a fellows program that identifies and strengthens leaders within the youth media field; peer institutes that bring youth media, youth development and formal K–12 educators together to explore promising practices; and an online community that promotes the documentation and sharing of instructional methods and materials.
