Urban Ecology Course Materials Created with a Universal Design for Learning Framework

CSE is directing the summative evaluation activities for Urban Ecology Course Materials Created with a Universal Design for Learning Framework, a project of The Lynch School of Education and the Urban Ecology Institute at Boston College in collaboration with the Center for Applied Special Technology (CAST). This three-year project is developing and disseminating a complete set of standards-based, urban-ecology-course materials and accompanying field-study activities for an elective Urban Ecology course in high schools. The curriculum materials will provide a locally-relevant, field-based capstone course to the urban high school science curriculum. The final course will emerge through intensive field testing around the nation through a network of partner institutions in Arizona, Connecticut, and Illinois.
