Thinking About Mathematics Instruction (TMI)

Thinking about Mathematics Instruction (TMI) is a large-scale research and technical assistance project to investigate:

  • The knowledge and beliefs of elementary and middle school principals regarding mathematics learning and teaching
  • The effect of these beliefs on principals’ practices regarding classroom observation and teacher supervision
