Taking NPASS to Scale (NPASS 2): Creating State-based Professional Development Networks for Out-of-School Time Science

In this three-year NSF Informal Science Education grant, CSE is training and supporting a new cadre of science trainers in eight states and, in so doing, is studying the implementation factors that contribute to the ability of state-based afterschool networks to increase the quality and quantity of project-based science delivered in afterschool programs. CSE is collaborating in this project with external evaluators Goodman Research Group (GRG) in Cambridge, MA; the Boston Children”s Museum; and the National Institutes for Out-of-School Time (NIOST) in Wellesley, MA; and with NPASS State Leadership Teams in San Francisco, CA; Atlanta, GA; Baltimore, MD; St. Paul, MN; Columbia, MO; Durham, NH; Trenton, NJ; and Columbus, OH.
