This NSF-funded Informal Science Education grant is training and supporting a new cadre of science trainers in eight states and, in so doing, is studying the implementation factors that contribute to the ability of state-based afterschool networks to raise the quality and quantity of project-based science delivered in afterschool programs. External evaluators collaborating on this project are the Goodman Research Group of Cambridge, Massachusetts; the Boston Children’s Museum; and the National Institutes for Out-of-School Time in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Additional partners are NPASS state leadership teams in San Francisco; Atlanta; Baltimore; St. Paul; Columbia, Missouri; Durham, New Hampshire; Trenton, New Jersey; and Columbus, Ohio.
