Oceans of Data: What Is Needed to Support Student Learning with Large Scientific Databases

This project aims to find out how research on learning can inform the design of interfaces and technology tools to enable high school students to access and use scientific data gained from science cyberinfrastructure projects. This goal will be accomplished through a literature review and consultations with experts from relevant disciplines, such as climate science, mathematics education, and visual analytics.
