Northeast and the Islands Regional Technology in Education Consortium (NEIR*TEC)

NEIR*TEC helps state and local educational leaders address the many challenges involved in using technology effectively, emphasizing the needs of schools in underserved urban and rural communities. NEIR*TEC, one of 10 regional technology-in-education consortia, serves the six New England states, New York, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Activities build on research-based exemplary practices, work in-depth with a significant number of underserved districts, integrate ongoing assessments of the evolving needs of state and local education agencies, focus on themes that reflect major needs throughout the region, and maximize reach and impact through collaborations with state education agencies and other organizations.
