New Media Enabled Technician

EDC is building upon its Information Technology Across Careers (ITAC) project to focus on how technicians use social media tools in routine work to solve problems and manage a business enterprise. In partnership with Springfield and Brookfield Community Colleges, EDC will:

  • Validate a rubric on new media use by technician entrepreneurs
  • Work with business partners to develop new media-in-action statements and scenarios for integration into technical courses at community colleges
  • Develop and implement professional development webinars for faculty and online courses for students in technician education programs
