Moreno/Lyons Productions has commissioned EDC to develop a teacher’s edition of the Mystery of Matter: Search for the Elements television program and a guide with supplementary materials. The Teacher’s Edition and guide will include a special edition of the two-hour television program, divided into shorter chapters, with navigation and icons for ease of use. A companion guide will provide resources for teachers to foster use of the program in the high school chemistry classroom. These resources will include an index and searchable transcript of the program, a glossary of chemical terms, alignments of the program to national science education standards and textbooks, suggestions for student reflection on chapters of the program, and investigations related to the program.
