Leadership Content Knowledge and Mathematics Instructional Quality in the Mathematics and Science Partnerships (MSPs): A Study of Elementary and Middle School Principals

This large-scale research and technical assistance project focuses on principals who are serving in elementary and middle schools. It investigates:

  • The nature of principals’ knowledge and beliefs about mathematics learning and teaching
  • The effect of these beliefs on the principals’ practices of classroom observation and teacher supervision
