CCT is conducting a formative evaluation of the Dolan DNA Learning Center’s (DNALC) Genes to Cognition (G2C) online project. G2C is an effort to introduce teachers and students to key psychological and biological concepts in modern cognitive science research through a Web site that mimics the molecular and cellular networks of the brain. CCT is examining the refinement of G2C’s theory of impact and the development of performance indicators. These performance indicators include a workshop to conceptualize “features of Internet sites of the future”—from which CCT will develop a working paper on the G2C Online model—the design and development of a final version of the G2C Online Web site, and the dissemination of the model to biology and psychology educators. CCT is providing research recommendations following the launch of the site, which is paving the way for conducting a rigorous evaluation of student learning outcomes in the G2C Online environment.
