Emily Morris has seen firsthand the barriers to learning created by poverty, marginalization, and ethnic strife.
Morris recently returned to the United States after managing EDC’s interactive radio and video instruction programs in Tanzania and Zanzibar. Here she talks about a Maasai mentor who kept the local learning center open despite conflict and violence in the community as well as the importance of early childhood education.
