HIV and AIDS in the Caribbean

Reducing Stigma and Discrimination

Sorry, flash is not available.

One of the most powerful ways to combat the stigma and discrimination faced by people living with HIV and AIDS is to include them in efforts to prevent and treat the disease. EDC is working hand-in-hand with educators in the Caribbean to do just that.

“The Caribbean has never lost a generation of its most talented young people because of war or natural disasters, but is in danger of doing so because of the AIDS pandemic,” says Arlene Husbands, EDC’s Caribbean Coordinator. Listen as Husbands and others discuss ways to promote the greater involvement of people living with HIV and AIDS.
