The U.S. Agency for International Development has selected EDC’s photo of children at a Sudanese school as the first place winner of its FrontLines photo contest. The photo of students participating in EDC’s Southern Sudan Interactive Radio Instruction project was taken by photojournalist Karl Grobl, hired by EDC to document the program. A photo of EDC’s EQuALLS2 Project taken by Rojessa Tiamson-Saceda was also a contest finalist.
