This October 6 webinar, sponsored by the Regional Educational Laboratory Northeast and Islands, examines the research and initiatives behind the new common Core State Standards as they relate to mathematics. Dr. Francis “Skip” Fennell, a mathematics education expert and member of the National Mathematics Advisory Panel, will clarify links between the new standards and the National Mathematics Advisory Panel Report recommendations and discuss policy considerations for educators. EDC’s Jill Weber, Pam Buffington, and Carole Urbano will also present.
