Eliza Fabillar works to enhance student learning in secondary schools through a focus on improving teachers’ and administrators’ professional practice. For two decades, she has partnered with schools and districts nationwide on curricular, instructional, and school reform initiatives that address educational equity.

During her career at EDC, Fabillar’s efforts to build a culture of continuous improvement and systems change in school districts have yielded positive results in multiple communities, from Fort Worth, Texas, to Burlington, Vermont. She designs and facilitates face-to-face and online professional development activities that focus on empowering teachers to improve instructional practice. Fabillar has led the development of high school curricula, including EDC’s Law and Justice and Digital Media Arts, which prepare students to succeed in college and careers. She brings to her work a wealth of experience helping educators and leaders bridge research and practice for transformational change. 

Fabillar received a BA from City University of New York and an MA in cultural anthropology and education from Columbia University.
