EDC’s expertise in learning and teaching starts with working to better understand how learners learn and how teachers teach—in classrooms and communities, both urban and rural or affluent and underserved. EDC supports children, adolescents, and adults by understanding the challenges of their lives—at home, at school, and at work—and by strengthening the institutions that serve them.
In informal and formal settings, we bring expertise in mathematics, science, technology, literacy, media literacy, early childhood education, special education, workforce development, and leadership development. EDC’s partners in this work include state and local agencies, nonprofit organizations, schools, community groups, child care and Head Start programs, universities, business, foundations, and national associations.
