ARI’s initiatives respond to several critical needs in education. First, the division addresses the need for rigorous research that can inform decisions about educational policies and practices. Second, it meets the need to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative education approaches that take advantage of the potential of information and communications technologies (ICTs). Third, it responds to the need to support states, districts, schools, colleges of education, and other organizations in developing the capacity to implement and evaluate educational innovations.
