Established in 2006 as one of ten regional education labs funded by the Institute of Education Sciences, REL-NEI conducts applied research, along with technical assistance and dissemination activities, designed to further the use of evidence-based decision-making in education. Toward this goal, REL-NEI conducts large-scale randomized-control-treatment studies on major educational programs and carries out fast response research reviews and data analyses to directly inform decisions about educational policies and programs.
