Hello Earl - thank you for your response to my query. I have available but
have not yet looked at the performance of girls and boys. In developing
communities, the emphasis seems to be that both boys and girls attend and
stay in school. In the case of the philippines, this is so - in fact,
compared to ALL other countries in this region, the Philippines does have
equal access to education. Therefore I worry that teachers will not see
the reasons for being gender sensitive as teachers in classrooms. Perhaps
looking at the data you suggest will make a better argument for being
gender sensitive .

Thanks for the tip and I will let you know of my results.

Are the daffodils almost over!? I did my undergrad at UBC and lived in
Vancouver for 10 years.

thank you again.
