EDC/CCT LogoProjects featured on this Website were selected in collaboration with the National Science Foundation. Key developers for this site are the following staff from the Education Development Center's Center for Children and Technology:
  • Dorothy Bennett, Project Director and Principal Investigator
  • Naomi Hupert, Senior Writer/Researcher
  • Nancy Ross, Media Designer

The Center for Children and Technology (CCT) was founded at Bank Street College in 1981. In 1993, CCT changed its institutional affiliation and became a division of the Education Development Center. CCT is a research and development group which carries out a wide program of basic and applied research as well as prototype design and development. The mission of the Center is to investigate the roles technology does and can play in children's lives in general and in the classroom in particular, and the design and development of prototypical software that supports engaged, active learning.
