    Fellows & Friends,

RS6, the American Memory Server, will not be available from 7am-4pm on Sunday, March 12th. This outage is for system maintenance and implementation of a new server. The Learning Page is also on this server, as is the "historical documents" section of THOMAS and the Country Studies. The rest of the Library's website, including the "main" LC pages (anything with the lcweb or www in the URL), THOMAS, and the LC online catalog are on other servers and should be available all weekend.

It's Spring anyway .... spend Sunday outdoors planting something! Which reminds me: the cherry blossoms are in peak bloom in Washington <http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/today/mar27.html>. (Mr Horydczak takes better pictures than I.)

Tip: In American Memory collections containing both color and black & white images; you can limit to just color images (most of the time) by adding the word "color" to your search. Try "cherry blossom" and then "cherry blossom color" here: <http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/horydquery.html>.

    Betty
