    I would love maps that show:

    Expeditions of Pike up the Arkansas (to Colorado) and Dunbar up the
    Red River--mapping the land and inhabitants along the southern
    watersheds of the Louisiana Purchase and corollaries to Lewis and
    Clark's famed expedition.

    Any U.S. military maps charting the several routes taken in the Trail of
    Tears forced removal of the Cherokees across Tennessee, southern
    Missouri and Arkansas into Oklahoma.

    State road maps/US highway maps by decades [would Rand-McNally
    donate theirs and sponsor the collection?]

    In particular, the State Road Maps published with the various
    WPA state tour guides in the late 30s and early 40s.

    Sales rep maps for a variety of consumer goods from various decades.

    Those are some first thoughts...
